Barnabas, also called Joseph, was a Levite from Cyprus who sold a field and laid the money at the apostles' feet Acts 4:36 Acts 4:37.
His Levitical identity is stated directly in Acts Acts 4:36.
Barnabas is not in the line to Jesus.
