James son of Zebedee is the brother of John, and Jesus gives them the name Boanerges Mark 3:17.
He is included among the Twelve and is the apostle whose death by Herod is narrated in Acts Matthew 10:2 Acts 12:1-2.
James is not in the line to Jesus.
