Biography
Jeremiah the prophet is named as the son of Hilkiah from Anathoth, and the word of Yahweh came to him from the days of Josiah through the exile of Jerusalem .
He was appointed over nations and kingdoms to pluck up and to plant, and his ministry announced both coming judgment and a promised new covenant .
