Matthew the apostle is called from the tax booth by Jesus, and Matthew 10 lists him among the Twelve Matthew 9:9 Matthew 10:3.
Mark and Luke use the name Levi for the tax collector called from the booth, while the apostolic lists retain Matthew in the roster Mark 2:14 Luke 5:27-28 Acts 1:13.
Matthew is not in the line to Jesus.
