Biography
Obadiah of David's line is named in the descendants listed after Zerubbabel in 1 Chronicles . The passage names the sons of Obadiah but does not give this Obadiah the prophetic oracle against Edom or the stewardship in Ahab's house .
Matthew and Luke do not name Obadiah in the line to Jesus, so this page keeps him as a named Davidic descendant rather than folding him into the messianic line .
Because Scripture gives him only this genealogical place, his bio remains brief .
