Levi son of Jacob and Leah is the third son born to Leah in Genesis Genesis 29:34.
He shares Simeon's rebuke for violent anger, while Moses later blesses Levi around covenant loyalty, teaching, and priestly service Genesis 49:5-7 Deuteronomy 33:8-11.
Levi is not in the line to Jesus.
